BeaconGPT was birthed out of our longing to protect, disciple, and steward the awesome gift God entrusted to us, which is our child. A few years ago, the national conversation was filled with controversy over public school libraries carrying books that openly promoted anti-Christian themes. We wanted our daughter to love reading, yet we needed confidence that what she was taking in would not quietly reshape her worldview. When we searched online for context about certain books, we found ourselves frustrated by reviews that were inconsistent, incomplete, or biased. What should have been a quick answer often became hours of research.
Most AI tools avoided, omitted, softened, or even outright rejected the very issues Christian families care most about, so we set out on a different path. That path led Jesse to build and refine hundreds of iterations of AI programming until, with prayer and discernment, BeaconGPT came to life. Built on OpenAI’s platform as a Custom GPT, it has been shaped through constant testing to ensure its voice remains rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit. Just as the printing press once put the Bible into many hands and sparked revival and reformation, we believe BeaconGPT can help bring the depth of God’s Word into real life moments (Psalm 119:105).
BeaconGPT is a Christ-centered, dynamic conversational companion, available anytime to anyone. Families can scan media and receive a biblical lens along with parent-child talking points (Deuteronomy 6:6–7). Believers can process grief, conflict, or doubt and receive Scripture-anchored counsel with Spirit-led prayer. Parents can create Bible lessons with memory verses, short prayers, and creative activities tailored to what their kids are facing. Skeptics can push back and ask hard questions, while BeaconGPT plants seeds of truth like the sower in Matthew 13. Even when the soil is rocky, it can help clear obstacles, water the ground, and nurture the heart so that seeds have a greater chance of taking root and bearing fruit.
The vision is simple: to see people grow in God’s wisdom, live with Christ’s purpose, and strengthen their faith through the work of the Holy Spirit. We believe BeaconGPT can one day be a common tool in God’s armory, helping Christians evangelize, disciple, and navigate daily life with confidence that God’s Word is alive and relevant today. It not only encourages new believers to connect with a church, it can also point them toward Christ-centered congregations in their own area (Acts 2:42).
The impact is already growing, with over 500 conversations and counting. Parents are using it for discipleship, leaders for equipping, and seekers for exploring faith. I use BeaconGPT daily.” Testimonies like these remind me why I built it: to redeem technology for Kingdom purposes, to serve believers and seekers alike, and to show the world that God’s Word is not only timeless, but powerfully applicable right now.
